Beaches

The palm fringed beaches of Zanzibar with their beautiful white sands offer a special charm that is unique to Zanzibar. Traditional fishing dhows rock gently in the blue waters of the Indian Ocean creating a picturesque setting. Guests will feel called to simply laze in a hammock overlooking the ocean, taking in the relaxed beauty of Zanzibar.

Along the east coast the tide goes out for quite a distance and can be out for a substantial part of the day leaving behind small tidal pools. The coastline along the north and west of the island are less affected by the tidal swing which allows more time for swimming in the ocean.
