We had a really wonderful time. Our flights and transfers were wonderful. Everything went off completely smoothly. We were collected on time by the transfer bus (air-conditioned so very comfy) and had an uneventful ride to our hotel.
There we were greeted very nicely, and allowed to help ourselves to dinner, as we’d arrived a few minutes before they packed up. The food was plentiful, varied and of quite a high standard. If you didn’t like one type of food, there was always a huge variety of something else. The resort is very pretty and beautifully upgraded: rooms, swimming pools, sun tanning “beach” with loungers, and gardens were all in really good condition and well maintained.
All in all, it was a wonderful holiday. We stayed busy all the time, thanks to our proximity to Grand Baie, and even got hold of an old scuba acquaintance who took us for a few dives.
Would I recommend Veranda to others? YES! For those who want to be close to Grand Baie and not stay at the hotel all day, it’s ideal.
