"An all inclusive holiday with great fun" 
Frances B. | 20 June 2016 Both times we were in Mauritius we went to Sugar Beach because we prefer the west coast.
I am super glad we went with the all-inclusive. That was really great and there was few things that were excluded from the all-inclusive menu. It was especially great for the youngsters as the beer and water was flowing and not once did we have a problem with it. The wines are also surprisingly good. We were even able to visit the al a carte restaurants at both Sugar Beach and La Pirogue without any problems and with few restrictions. The lunch at La Pirogue is definitely a better option than Sugar Beach but in general the food was good and no complaints about that.
The kids were given rooms with garden view looking over the pool on the south side of the resort which were really lovely and they were extremely comfortable and happy. We were given a lovely 2nd floor ocean view room (801) also on the south side and were impressed. There is a public beach right next to that block of rooms and it seems they have parties (for the public) over the weekend, but these rooms are definitely the better option in terms of privacy and access to the beach and pool.
The transport to and from the airport was well organised and comfortable. For the rest of it, we had great fun and enjoyed being together as a family.

Rodney Wright designed this Par 72, 18-Hole championship course, one of the longest on the island of Mauritius. It twists and turns over 206 hectares, once a rocky hunting domain. Each of the holes has a fantastic view of the Mont du Rempart and the other island mountains.

Both times we were in Mauritius we went to Sugar Beach because we prefer the west coast.
I am super glad we went with the all-inclusive. That was really great and there was few things that were excluded from the all-inclusive menu. It was especially great for the youngsters as the beer and water was flowing and not once did we have a problem with it. The wines are also surprisingly good. We were even able to visit the al a carte restaurants at both Sugar Beach and La Pirogue without any problems and with few restrictions. The lunch at La Pirogue is definitely a better option than Sugar Beach but in general the food was good and no complaints about that.
The kids were given rooms with garden view looking over the pool on the south side of the resort which were really lovely and they were extremely comfortable and happy. We were given a lovely 2nd floor ocean view room (801) also on the south side and were impressed. There is a public beach right next to that block of rooms and it seems they have parties (for the public) over the weekend, but these rooms are definitely the better option in terms of privacy and access to the beach and pool.
The transport to and from the airport was well organised and comfortable. For the rest of it, we had great fun and enjoyed being together as a family.
