The Water Sports Centre here at Bandos also offers top notch catamaran and windsurfing facilities, with top of the range equipment from HiFly, North Sails and Topcat among others. We can also organise snorkelling trips to our house reef where, surrounded by the beauty of brightly-coloured coral formations, fish and flora, you can lose yourself in a magical underwater world.

Dive Bandos

Dive Bandos is one of the longest established centres in the country and our professional staff will ensure that you experience the lush underwater gardens, colourful fish and magnificent seascapes in total safety. The Dive Centre is a spacious facility complete with air-conditioned audio visual classrooms, library, hot water showers and large storage rooms.

The convenient location of Bandos in the southern part of the North Male Atoll offers access to over 40 impressive dive sites.

Gather your friends to form a team of 4 and take the morning boat for a fishing expedition; explore the large monsters of the deep ocean. These extraordinary fish weight up to 70 kilos and grows up to 8m or more. We offer trolling and casting techniques, Baracudda, Sail fish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Marlin and Tuna are popular with trolling method. Giant Travelly, Red Snappers, Groupers are more common with casting.

Master this excursion with complete comfort, our state of the art vessel offers breakfast on board, various chilled drinks and beers while longer trips come with lunch. In addition, fresh water, towels and washrooms are also available on board. The vessel comes with a prowler and fish finder, global positioning systems, radar, fighter chair, PEN international rods for trolling and Shimano rods for casting (spin fishing).

Different types of fish are caught depending on the monsoon. The country experiences two main seasons, the South West Monsoon and the North East Monsoon. The South West Monsoon, which usually starts in May and continues until August, is the rainy season. However, given that these coral isles have an abundance of marine fauna, there hardly is a time when a trip fails to yield a good catch.

That’s why families travelling with young children can relax in the knowledge that their loved ones are in the capable care of our professional child minders and babysitters. What’s more, while you unwind on the beach, they’ll be having the time of their lives. The Kokko Club opens from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Sunday, and offers a wide variety of activities for everyone from tots to teens.

We create and maintain a safe, healthy and exciting environment where they can enjoy, explore, learn, socialise with other kids and have fun. We strive to stay up to date with the ever changing needs of our young guests, many of whom we are fortunate enough to see every year from their infancy. The Kokko Club is equipped with a nursery full of toys and a large playground outdoors.

The facilities are free of charge for children aged 3 – 12 years old and our professional childminders at Kokko Club provide babysitting services on an hourly charge basis for Infants below 3 years old.
