The Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) is the currency of Zanzibar, however US Dollars can also be exchanged on the island. Zanzibar has four ATM's on the island and all of them are in Stone Town.

Food
Known as the Spice Island, Zanzibar's food is rich in aroma and taste, and with great fishing waters around the island, seafood is also very popular. Restaurants at the hotels have a variety of options to choose from with many international and local meals on offer.
Religion
Islam is the main religion on the island with 97% of the population practicing the faith. Although they are not imposing in their beliefs, it is asked that women cover their shoulders when leaving the resort and to refrain from tanning topless on public beaches.
