The Grand Friday Mosque is the biggest mosque in the country and has an impressive golden dome that stands out on the Malé skyline.

Hukuru Miskiiy, also known as the Old Friday Mosque is the oldest mosque in the country and was established in 1956. The mosque is made from coral stone and is decorated with intricate decorations and Quranic script carvings.

One of the major tourist attractions in Maldives is the Malé fish market. Being the hub of commercial activities, the fish market's shops are stocked with a wide variety of products from dried fish, to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Found in the back streets of Malé in the middle of the town, the Tomb of Mohammad Thakurufaanu is a must see tourist attraction.

Located just across the road from the Old Friday Mosque, the blue and white building with its colourful gateposts is the Mulee Aage.
